Jumanji 2 Release Date Announced

Johnson is certainly right when he proudly referred to Welcome to the Jungle as a ‘global juggernaut’: according to Variety, the film was only beat on opening weekend by Star Wars: The Last Jedi in December last year, and made it to No.1 during its fifth weekend. Welcome to the Jungle is the sequel to the classic film Jumanji, released in 1995 and starring the late Robin Williams. While the original film releases elements of a board game into the real world, this revamped version goes a bit more high tech, teleporting our four high school protagonists into a video game universe. This sequel was loved by filmgoers, and now, The Rock is officially inviting us to dive into its video game universe once again.

All main actors Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan will be joining Bravestone (Dwayne Johnson’s smoldering character) on the big screen. The director for Welcome to the JungleJake Kasdan, is also expected to return to direct the second round on December 13, 2019.

Better get ready because #TheGameIsNotOver.
