CW has announced the Charmed, the classic 90’s show we all know and love is being brought back to the small screen. The new cast consists of Sarah Jeffery, Melonie Diaz, and, Madeleine Mantock.
Originally planned to be a prequel set in the 70’s has now been decided to be a modern-day reboot that some fans and the main actresses aren’t too happy about. The original installment ran from 1998 to 2006, only 12 years have passed, and this reboot feels too soon. Some of the original cast is not pleased with the reboot. Holly Marie Comb has been vocal about her feelings of this show since it was announced earlier this year.
This reboots pilot and the original pilot is extremely similar, with the death of their mother and the discovery of their powers and how it brings them closer together. It will be interesting to see how they bring the modern world to this exciting supernatural reality.
Charmed is set to air this coming fall on Sundays after Supergirl at 9pm.
